The Chamber Welcomes 2026 with a Member Mixer That Scores Big!

The Fort Saskatchewan & Lamont County Regional Chamber of Commerce kicked off 2026 with our first Chamber Member Mixer of the year—bringing together business, community, and a touch of hockey excitement. The evening set the tone for a year full of connection, collaboration, and celebration.

We extend a huge thank you to our valued member, The Canadian Brewhouse, for sponsoring and hosting the event and providing a fantastic venue for our members and guests. With delicious food and refreshing drinks, their hospitality set the stage for engaging conversations and meaningful networking. We are equally grateful to our new member, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF), for partnering with us to elevate the evening and showcase their impactful community initiatives.

A highlight of the event was spotlighting the EOCF’s 25th Anniversary Campaign—which matches every dollar donated, doubling the impact across Oil Country. Donate here: https://www.nhl.com/oilers/eocf/25th-anniversary, to support the cause.

With 60 registered guests, the mixer was filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and a lively sense of community. Members had the chance to connect with fellow business owners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders while enjoying special appearances from Edmonton Oilers official mascot Hunter and Oilers Alumni Ladislav Smid! We were also pleased to welcome Councillor Birgit Blizzard, whose presence demonstrated strong support for our local business community.

The evening also provided the perfect opportunity for the Chamber to officially announce the launch of our new website and preview upcoming events and initiatives for the year ahead, giving everyone an exciting glimpse of what’s in store for 2026.

We’re already looking ahead to our next Member Mixer coming this March, with details to be announced soon. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another great event focused on networking, connection, and community!
