This year’s Small Business Week Mini-Summit brought together local entrepreneurs, inspiring speakers, and community partners for a morning full of learning, connection, and celebration. The event was a wonderful reminder of the innovation, resilience, and collaboration that keep our small business community thriving.

We’re so grateful to our event sponsors, the City of Fort Saskatchewan and RBC, for making this gathering possible. The morning began with a delicious breakfast catered by Ken’s Catering, providing attendees with the perfect opportunity to network and connect with fellow business owners.

Next, RBC led an engaging session on financial literacy, offering practical tools and strategies to help entrepreneurs strengthen their financial confidence. The session also marked a very special occasion — the 100th birthday of Fort Saskatchewan’s RBC branch!

Following that, the City of Fort Saskatchewan shared an insightful presentation on using AI as a business tool, exploring how small businesses can adopt new technologies to work smarter and more efficiently.

The morning ended with our panel discussion, where local business leaders shared their insights on small business best practices, sparking meaningful conversations on growth, innovation, and community connection.

We’d also like to extend a big thank you to our Service Provider Zone participantsNAIT, the Government of Alberta, Futurpreneur, and Parallèl Alberta — for connecting with attendees and sharing valuable programs, resources, and support available to small businesses across our region.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to all the small business owners who joined us! Your enthusiasm, curiosity, and dedication made this event truly special. We hope you left feeling inspired and equipped with fresh ideas to help your business grow.
